As you snuggle up for the holiday season, I'd like to challenge you to provide warmth for an orphan in Liberia, West Africa. I've been trying to think of another 4Liberia pledge, and have decided on collecting 'throw blankets' for the kids that I work with. The kids need blankets, especially for rainy season! The blankets will provide much needed warmth, but also serve as an extra layer of protection against mosquitoes and malaria.
I'm looking for throw sized (approximately 50"x60") fleece blankets. You can purchase them, or even make them. Also, feel free to include a special note with your blankets for the children who will receive your donation.
If the pledge is successful, there should be a minimum of 40 blankets! That's enough for one orphanage...and I'd love for multiple orphanages to get blankets.
Also, if you'd like to include a donation toward the shipping of the blankets, that would be awesome! And, the blankets should arrive in Liberia just in time for rainy season...when blankets are needed the most!
Thanks again to everyone who continually partners with me to collect simple things to impact the lives of orphans in Liberia! I am extremely thankful for each of you, and you are truly changing lives!

Just noticed this morning that Michael's has pretty cute stuffed animals wrapped with fleece blankets for $5. You may want to check them out~ size seems appropriate too. ~Kim
I was in Walgreens and noticed they have these fleece blankets for a few cents over $3.50 each. Great deal! We'll have blankets for you when you get here!!
